Ανδρέας ΓΡΑΒΒΑΝΗΣ, MD, PhD, FEBOPRAS

Απόφοιτος της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών το 1996, ο Ανδρέας Γραββάνης άρχισε την ενεργό ενασχόληση του με την Μικροχειρουργική που οδήγησε στην επιτυχή ολοκλήρωση της διδακτορικής διατριβής του το 2002. Ολοκλήρωσε την εκπαίδευσή του στην Πλαστική Χειρουργική το 2005, στο Γενικό Κρατικό Νοσοκομείο Αθηνών και στο Chang Gung Memorial Hospital της Ταϊβάν, υπό την επίβλεψη του Prof. David Chuang (υποστηριζόμενος από το βραβείο MILLESI) όπου εκπαιδεύτηκε στην μικροχειρουργική αποκατάσταση της παράλυσης προσώπου και του καρκίνου κεφαλής και τραχήλου. Το 2006 έλαβε το δίπλωμα της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής Πλαστικής Χειρουργικής (European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery).http://www.ebopras.org/diplomates.php

Εργάσθηκε στο Gent University Plastic Surgery Department ως Clinical Fellow, υπό την επίβλεψη του Prof. Phillip Blondeel (υποστηριζόμενος από την υποτροφία της European Association of Plastic Surgeonshttp://www.euraps.org/education-and-awards/scholarship-recipients/) και στο St Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery, Chelmsford, UK ως Senior Registrar υπό την επίβλεψη των Consultant Mr Venkat Ramakrishnan και Mr Niri Niranjan έχοντας ως αντικείμενο Μικροχειρουργική/Αποκατάσταση Μαστού.

Την περίοδο 2007-2008 εργάσθηκε ως Consultant Plastic Surgeon στο Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, UK με ειδικό αντικείμενο την Μικροχειρουργική Αποκατάσταση του Μαστού. Το 2009 βραβεύτηκε με το Fellowship της Ευρωπαϊκής και Αμερικανικής Επιτροπής Πλαστικής Χειρουργικής (EURAPS/AAPS fellowship http://www.euraps.org/education-and-awards/fellowships-recipients/) και εκπαιδεύτηκε περαιτέρω στην αποκατάσταση καρκίνου μαστού και κεφαλής & τραχήλου στο MD Anderson Cancer Hospital, Houston, Texas, US.

Έχοντας πραγματοποιήσει μεγάλο αριθμό μικροχειρουργικών επεμβάσεων σε Ελλάδα και Εξωτερικό, οι δημοσιευμένες κλινικές και πειραματικές του μελέτες έχουν συμβάλλει σημαντικά στην διεθνή βιβλιογραφία στον τομέα των κρημνών των διατιτραινουσών αρτηριών (ALT και DIEP perforator flaps), της μικροχειρουργικής αποκατάστασης του μαστού, και των περιφερικών νεύρων.

Είναι τακτικό μέλος της European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPShttp://www.euraps.org/about/members/) και μέλος του Editorial Board του περιοδικού Microsurgery(http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/10.1002/(ISSN)1098-2752/homepage/EditorialBoard.html).

O Ανδρέας Γραββάνης εργάζεται ως Επιμελητής στην Κλινική Πλαστικής Χειρουργικής του Γενικού Κρατικού Νοσοκομείου «Γ. Γεννηματάς» με κύριο ενδιαφέρον την Μικροχειρουργική αποκατάσταση του Μαστού, Κεφαλής & Τραχήλου και Κάτω Άκρου.
